Must Read

After successfully acquiring UK’s home furnishing brand Rosebys and the US-based textile major Dan River, the home retail arm of Gujarat Heavy Industrial Chemicals (GHCL) is now looking for an Italian home furnishing brand. Meanwhile, the company has also been learnt to wrap up its direct retail operations in the US due to negative market conditions. Further, the company has adopted franchise route to expand Rosebys in UK.

Aloke Banerjee, CEO, Rosebys Interiors India, said, “We are in the midst of restructuring the UK business and are adopting franchise model for expansion. We are also planning for expansion in countries including Poland, Romania and Vietnam and the South African market.”

Meanwhile, the company plans 650 exclusive stores of the brand across India by 2012, which will mainly target the Rs 15 billion textile market in India.
