Must Read

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells dairy products under the Amul brand, is planning to set up a processing unit in the Northeast.
The company is also setting up processing units in Kanpur and Lucknow. It is expected that these processing units will be operational in coming 5-6 months. The company is also mulling to set up a processing unit near Kolkata and it is investing Rs 200 crore for each of these units.
The company is expecting Rs 23,000 crore revenue this fiscal. Despite the increase in production cost due to rise in cost of procurement and production, including cattle feed and labour costs, the company has no plans to raise the cost of its products in next six months.
At present, GCMMF has 60 milk processing units spread across the country. It exports its value-added products to over 50 countries.
