Taco Bell’s maiden Indian outlet opening at Mantri Square mall

Mexican foodservice brand Taco Bell is set to launch its first outlet in India at the Mantri Square mall in Bangalore next month. The outlet will be about 3,000-3,200 sq.ft in size.

Talking about the brand’s expansion plans, Vinod Mahboobani, VP of business development at Yum! Restaurants International (YRI) said, “We are planning to open four to five Taco Bell restaurants in India. Though the current target is Bangalore, we will take the brand across all the metro cities of India namely — Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune.”

Mahboobani also informed Imagesfood.com about the company’s process of finalising the locations for new Taco Bell outlets. Taco Bell would be YRI’s third brand in India, after Pizza Hut and KFC.
