Exotic India Art platform will help local artists reach a wider audience for their products

Bengaluru: Exotic India Art, a platform for Indian arts and crafts, has signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation (TNHDC) to promote products by local artisans.

The platform will help local artists reach a wider audience and eventually move them towards sustainable living standards. The platform will also ensure that it mentions the name of artists on its website against their art pieces, giving them their well-deserved credit for their craftsmanship.

“We celebrate our association with Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation as their official channel partner. Through this association, Exotic India can offer various handicrafts under their umbrella through its own sales channels. In addition, we will also be able to have customized artworks created by the 1000s of highly skilled artists on the TNHDC network per customer’s specifications,” said Kapil Goel, founder of Exotic India Art in a release announcing the partnership.

A team of experts from Exotic India Art will handpick the products after a detailed inspection and study and then list them for sale. Exotic India will also allow select artists to upload their catalogues directly on the website. It has onboarded 1,000 artisans and aims to add 2,000 more, stated the platform.

Launched in 1998, Exotic India Art has processed more than 1 million orders to date. The platform serves a customer base of 3-4 lakh people worldwide and has shipped orders to 160 countries.
