The Valentine’s Day-themed pizza by Domino’s is available in chicken pepperoni and cheesy tomato variants from 12 – 14 February 2023 through online ordering and at its stores
New Delhi: US-based pizza restaurant chain Domino’s Pizza has launched a heart-shaped pizza to mark Valentine’s Day.
The Valentine’s Day-themed pizza will be available from 12 – 14 February 2023 at the brand’s outlets and online.
As the trend of gifting through food has picked up in the country, Domino’s launched its exclusive menu of Valentine’s Day special heart shaped pizza. Under this launch the pizza chain is offering two types of pizza – chicken pepperoni and cheesy tomato.
On Tuesday, Domino’s announced the new offerings through its social media handles and in newspaper ads.
“Speak your heart, with a pizza. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special edition heart pizza,” a Domino’s newspaper ad of Tuesday read.
The pizzas come with a thin crust base along with hot and sweet sauce as a base for the pepperoni one and regular tomato sauce base for the cheesy tomato one.
Domino’s Pizza believes in ‘making moments of togetherness filled with love, laughter and deliciousness,’ while targeting the Gen Z and millennials as its potential customers for this launch.
Domino’s operates in India through its master franchisee Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. The Noida-based Jubilant holds the master franchise for Domino’s Pizza in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. The company is a part of the Jubilant Bhartia Group.
A spokesperson for Jubilant said the response to its heart-shaped pizza has been “good so far.”
“We won’t be able to share any figures as per company policy/compliance,” the spokesperson said in a WhatsApp message.
The multinational pizza restaurant chain opened its first store in India in January 1996 at New Delhi. Currently, the brand has over 1,701 outlets in the country.
Over the years, Jubilant has brought various major brands to India like Dunkin’ and Popeyes. In January last year, the company got American fried chicken fast-food brand Popeyes to Bengaluru.
