Under the agreement, WWK will hold the license for Airwalk across youth categories in India, including kid’s footwear, apparel and general merchandise.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhavna Jha, Vice President, WWK, said: “Airwalk is a significant player in the international market and our plan is to fill the current gap in the youth category.”

Commenting on the tie-up, Bruce Pettet, President and CEO, CLI, said that Wiesner’s talented design and development teams and their extensive experience in the industry make them the ideal partner for the Airwalk brand in India.

WWK plans to build a strong Airwalk presence across the North, South and East zones of India through distributors and retailers. The company has targeted distribution to more than 35 national and regional format stores across various product categories. The Airwalk collection in India will debut in Autumn Winter 2012.
