The company plans to open 2-3 outlets for each of its upcoming formats—Curious Kids, SkyJumper Luxe, and Sporty OG—over the coming months
Bengaluru: As people lean more toward collecting experiences than possessions, entertainment providers are stepping up like never before. This space now includes everything from amusement parks and movie theaters to game arcades and virtual reality adventures.
Indian entertainment centre chain SkyJumper, is riding ahead of the curve with a fresh mix of next-gen concepts that strike a chord with fun-seekers across generations.
Founded in 2017 by two childhood friends and IT professionals Jitender Chhabra and Suneel Dhar, SkyJumper started by importing home-use trampolines and exercise rebounders and the success in the market led them to introduce the trampoline park format in the Indian market.
Since its first park in 2017, the Faridabad-based company has expanded rapidly with over 20 operational family entertainment centres (FECs) and now operates with a team of over 500 employees. Its offerings have diversified into an array of other activities such as laser tag, wall climb, VR games, bowling, soft play, escape rooms, cricket lane and hypergrid.
Upcoming Formats
“We realised that simply offering an FEC is no longer enough—especially in tier 1 markets where competition is growing. We are planning to roll out three new concepts by the end of this fiscal year (FY26),” said Jitender Chhabra, Co-founder of SkyJumper Sports and Amusements Pvt. Ltd., during an exclusive interaction with IndiaRetailing.
The formats are:
- Curious Kids:
Curious Kids is designed for children under 12, targeting school kids during weekdays and families on weekends and holidays. Spanning 15,000 to 30,000 sq. ft., the format is primarily aimed at easily accessible locations in Tier-1 cities.
“We identified a gap in the market that schools are looking for places where kids can learn through real-life experiences. The tagline, ‘Earn Your Fun’, reflects the core idea—kids take part in engaging games, and when they succeed, they earn in-system currency. These earnings can be spent on various fun activities, each designed with a subtle educational twist,” said Chhabra.
- SkyJumper Luxe
SkyJumper Luxe, also known as a ‘birthday boutique,’ will operate in tier-1 cities, especially upscale malls and neighborhoods, offering spaces for high-end, exclusive birthday and other types of parties.
“Agencies typically charge around Rs 25,000 for a party in Gurgaon, but many affluent clients are willing to spend Rs 2 lakh or more for a premium experience—something currently unavailable. Many customers are opting for farmhouse parties for exclusivity, but these come with weather challenges and lack of activities,” said Chhabra.
This high-budget format, spanning 4,000 to 7,000 sq. ft., will offer activities such as trampolines, VR gaming, arcades, and a soft play area for kids.
- Sporty OG
Sporty OG (tagline: A Real Sports Bar) is designed for adult patrons aged 18 and above who consume alcohol. The concept integrates sports and entertainment with a strong emphasis on providing a premium bar experience.
Occupying a space of 10,000 to 20,000 sq. ft., the venue will feature dedicated facilities such as bowling lanes, cricket lanes, golf simulators, small basketball hoops, pool tables, and foosball tables. Each seating area will be paired with a specific sports activity exclusively for the guests at that table.
Beyond these personalised sports lanes, the establishment will offer communal areas where patrons can engage in skill-based games, physical challenges, and cognitive sports-related activities, all while enjoying a curated beverage selection.
The company also has two more formats in its long-term roadmap:
- Dedicated arcade gaming zone: Modeled on formats like Timezone, this is designed to meet mall demands for diverse entertainment options. Spread across 4,000–7,000 sq. ft., this format will feature a curated mix of arcade and VR gaming experiences.
- Sky-Golf: An outdoor sports bar experience inspired by Topgolf, which integrates elements of Sporty OG, offering premium features such as a golf driving range and shooting range. Spread over 30,000 sq. ft., it will cater to all forms of active sports entertainment with a strong emphasis on golfing.
Expanding across formats
SkuJumper plans to open two–three centres for each new format across different cities to evaluate their performance in the next few months. Concepts that perform well will move into a replication and scaling phase, while those that don’t meet expectations will either be refined and re-tested or phased out.
“We are targeting a total of 40 operational centres by the end of FY26, with the majority being new centers,” said Chhabra.
Proven models like SkyJumper Trampoline Park, SkyJumper FEC, and Go Bananas will continue to expand in tier-2 and tier-3 cities where amusement formats are still limited and demand is growing.
“The plan is to initially introduce this tried-and-tested model. Based on the market response, we would then gradually introduce newer concepts to the smaller emerging cities,” added Chhabra. “We mostly prefer malls from an operational standpoint, as managing a property within a mall is considerably easier than handling a standalone facility.”
SkyJumper reported revenues of Rs 39 crore in FY23 and Rs 75 crore in FY24, with FY25 figures yet to be filed, though projections indicate it will exceed the previous year’s performance.
Meanwhile, In FY25, it has generated a footfall of over two million visitors across formats and is expected to double that number by FY26.
