Bengaluru: Magson Retail and Distribution Ltd. has appointed Saibal Chandra Banerjee as its new Chief Executive Officer, the company said in a press release on Friday.
In his new role, Banerjee will be tasked with steering the company’s growth in the competitive and fast-evolving gourmet retail segment. His priorities will include enhancing customer experience, forging stronger industry partnerships, and streamlining operations for improved performance.
Banerjee brings more than 26 years of expertise across the retail and FMCG sectors. He held leadership roles at companies such as Wellness Forever Medicare Ltd, Foodhall (Future Retail), Spencer’s Retail Ltd, and Dabur India Ltd.
His professional expertise spans across a wide range of functions including sales and distribution, merchandising, retail operations, category and space management, demand and supply planning, and full P&L responsibility.
Magson Retail is involved in the retail and distribution of gourmet, frozen, and specialty food products. It operates retail stores under the brand name “MagSon,” which includes company-owned stores, joint venture stores, and franchises.
