CBRE and Invest India unveil Retail Entertainment Report at PRC 2025

Mumbai: CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading real estate consulting firm, in collaboration with Invest India, the country’s official investment promotion and facilitation agency, launched the CBRE & Invest India Retail Entertainment Survey 2024-25 titled ‘Retail Level-up – The Entertainment Edition’.

The report was officially unveiled during Phygital Retail Convention (PRC) 2025, India’s premier retail intelligence gathering, taking place at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai on May 7–8, 2025. 

The research offers a comprehensive analysis of India’s evolving retail entertainment landscape, combining survey responses and direct insights from major stakeholders including developers, family entertainment centre (FEC) operators, and amusement and theme park players.

The launch event witnessed the presence of key industry leaders, including Nikhil Bhatia, Managing Director, Capital Markets & Land at CBRE India; Bimal Sharma, Head – Retail, CBRE South Asia; Shruti Rajkumar, Vice President at Invest India; and Vineet Chadha, COO – Retail, IMAGES Group.

The survey engaged over 700 respondents across key demographic groups and respondents were drawn from major urban centres such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata, among others.

The findings offer forward-looking insights into consumer preferences, demand trends, and the increasing convergence of retail and entertainment in India’s urban markets. The report aims to serve as a strategic guide for developers, operators, and investors looking to capitalize on the growing experiential economy.

Presented by Inorbit Malls and powered by Mufti, PRC 2025 is set to spotlight the dynamic theme ‘Infinite India – The World’s Fastest Growing Retail Market’, uniting industry visionaries, disruptors, and leaders from across retail, shopping centres, and allied sectors.

Organised by IMAGES Group, this year’s convention will delve into the vast potential of India’s rapidly evolving consumer ecosystem—shaped by digital innovation, a youthful demographic, and the seamless blending of physical and digital retail.
