Marico re-appoints Saugata Gupta as MD & CEO

Bengaluru: FMCG company Marico Ltd. has re-appointed Saugata Gupta as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer for a further period of two years, from 1 April 2026 till 31 March 2028. This is as per the information filed with the stock exchanges on 2 May 2025.

Gupta joined Marico in 2004 as the Head of Marketing and was elevated to CEO of India business in 2007. Since 2014, he has been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Office of the company.

Marico reported a strong performance in Q4FY25, with revenue from operations rising 20% year-on-year to Rs 2,730 crore. This growth was driven by a 7% volume increase in the India business and a 16% constant currency growth in international markets.

For the full fiscal year, Marico’s consolidated revenue reached Rs 10,831 crore, marking a 12% YoY growth. The company also recorded a 5% volume growth in India and a 14% constant currency growth internationally.

The Foods and Premium Personal Care segments achieved a combined annualised run rate (ARR) of Rs 2,000 crore. Meanwhile, Marico’s international business sustained its robust double-digit growth trajectory, and the company posted a 10% increase in reported net profit for the year. Notably, India’s volume and revenue growth reached a 14-quarter high.

Marico touches the lives of 1 out of every 3 Indians, through its portfolio of brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Hair & Care, Parachute Advansed, Nihar Naturals, Mediker, Pure Sense, Coco Soul, Revive, Set Wet, Livon, Beardo, Just Herbs, True Elements and Plix.

The international consumer products portfolio contributes to about 26% of the Group’s revenue, with brands like Parachute, Parachute Advansed, HairCode, Fiancée, Purité de Prôvence, Ôliv, Caivil, Hercules, Black Chic, Code 10, Ingwe, X-Men, Thuan Phat and Isoplus.
