Note Ban: Cinepolis announces exciting offers on cashless transactions

India’s first international movie theatre chain Cinepolis is taking measures to welcome demonetization that is in line with achieving a cashless economy.
According to a ANI report: To provide respite from the queue woes, the world class exhibition house has announced exciting offers on cashless transaction for the movie lovers.
To pave way for the revolutionary move, Cinepolis will offer 20 per cent discount on the tickets booked online through the Cinepolis website, starting November 11.
Cinepolis currently endorses tie-ups with the leading booking aggregators like; Bookmyshow, Paytm, Tixdo which will also ensure online offers are extended on their platforms. Offers would be applicable across all the properties of Cinepolis.
“The ongoing demonetization is restricted to currency notes in circulation; the online booking will be a feasible option. We want to provide convenience to our customers. Booking tickets online will prove to be a win-win for our patrons, they can book tickets with convenience,” Director – India Strategic Initiatives, Cinepolis India, Devang Sampat was quoted by ANI as saying.
While digital payment constitutes a minor share against cash payment, it has been growing considerably of late. After the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes as mandated by the Government, it is likely to become dominant in the country.
Comfort comes handy while booking online transactions and with the introduction of exciting discounts by Cinepolis, the digital payment arena is likely to grow significantly for the exhibition house.
