Target said on Friday Chief Digital Officer Jason Goldberger, who had been with the company for four years, has left the retailer and his role will be taken over by two senior company executives.

The Minneapolis-based retailer said Goldberger’s role will be split between Chief Information Officer Mike McNamara and Chief Merchandising Officer Mike Tritton.

“To provide clear accountability and speed up decision making, we will be transitioning Jason’s responsibilities to two current leadership team members,” Chief Executive Officer, Brian Cornell said in a statement.
“Taking this body of work in a new direction will help advance our efforts in these key areas during a pivotal time for Target,” Cornell said.
McNamara will be responsible for Target’s website and digital strategy while Tritton will now oversee the pricing and promotions team, the statement said.
Goldberger’s departure is the second high profile exit at Target in less than a month. Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Jones left the company last month to join Uber Technologies Inc .
