Amazon.in on Wednesday announced the launch of Amazon Pantry for customers in Hyderabad. Using Amazon Pantry, customers can now shop for over 4,000 everyday essentials such as groceries and household products on the website and mobile, fill a virtual box of items from the Amazon Pantry store and have them conveniently delivered at their doorsteps the following day.
Amazon Pantry makes it convenient for customers to stock-up for a basket of frequently purchased items while also increasing savings when compared to shopping at supermarkets.
The store offers essentials including food, beverages, household supplies, health and beauty products. Amazon Pantry also offers unique selection which forms a part of the monthly purchase basket like dals, rice, atta, oil etc
Speaking on the launch, Category Leader FMCG, Amazon India Saurabh Srivastava, said, “We are very excited to launch Amazon Pantry for customers in Hyderabad. Amazon Pantry makes it convenient for customers to shop for grocery and household products as it saves time spent in travel, parking, queuing and lugging heavy bags from a store to the car and from there to a customer’s home. We are confident that as customers in Hyderabad get familiar with the Pantry experience, they will be delighted by the ease, convenience and the fast delivery benefits that it offers.”
The unique Pantry user experience makes it easy for the customer to fill the dedicated Pantry box. A Pantry box can carry a full shopping basket of up to 15kg of products and as a customer shops, the addition of more products indicate what percentage of the Pantry box is filled, based on the product’s size and weight. Once the box is filled to capacity, a new box automatically starts filling with the new items.
Amazon Pantry comes with guaranteed next day delivery. Delivery charges are Rs 49 per box but as a launch offer, Amazon.in is running a promotion of a delivery charge of only Rs 20 per box and free delivery for Prime customers.
