Real estate portal Housing.com has appointed former Google and Amazon executive Vivek Jain as its Chief Product and Technology Officer.
Jain will focus on strengthening the product and engineering aspects of the business to help it become a full-service transaction player. He will report to CEO Jason Kothari.
He is an experienced executive with proven success helping large MNCs and start ups define product vision, strategy and roadmap. His core competency is to bridge the gap between technology and business. He is passionate about merging consumer experiences with technology and media to build real-life businesses.
He is a strong leader who has driven a number of products throughout the life cycle from inception / business case development, requirements gathering, software development, test, certification up to finally defining go-to-market strategy, product launch and post sales customer support.
The 36-year-old executive worked at Amazon as the business head for the cloud division, Amazon Web Services.
While in the US, he was also associated with the US Department of Commerce, where he reviewed business plans at Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) to help assist President Obama and the Federal Government deliver on the promise of economic recovery (ARRA) through the $7.2 billion Recovery Act’s BTOP and Broadband Initiatives.
Jain returned to India in 2014 to join Jio, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, as Vice-President.
