AllSuperMart partners with Roadrunnr, Grab to strengthen Pune delivery ops

Must Read

To strengthen its delivery network in the city of Pune, the dedicated hyperlocal marketplace for utilities and grocery shopping, AllSuperMart has entered into a strategic partnership with hyperlocal logistics players Roadrunnr and Grab.
While Roadrunnr doubles up as a hyperlocal logistics firm and an on-demand food ordering platform, Grab is India’s leading provider of hyperlocal B2C logistics delivery service.
Commenting on the partnership, Founder & CEO, AllSuperMart, Amit Singh said, “Logistics is an integral part of our business model. To meet scaled up local requirements and to ensure timely deliveries within the city, we are outsourcing our bandwidth requirements to these two leading logistics services providers. We receive around 60 orders per day and this is just our first week of opening operations in the city. The transaction traffic is going to be huge and we cannot ignore a speedy last mile delivery ecosystem which is efficient, real-time, reliable and affordable.”
“Additionally, we have decided to channelize our investments in expansion measures and not in in-housing huge logistical infrastructures. Presently, we are providing our services in the western part of Pune from Baner to Ravet including the IT hub of Hinjewadi, via our network of 460 vendor partners,” he added.
AllSuperMart, as a monsoon promotional offer, is giving away one umbrella on each purchase, to the first 1000 customers.
Logistics is poised to be the defining factor for success of e-commerce companies in retaining their customers and many startups are coming up in the space, and investments flowing into them. Going forward, a lot of focus will be on strengthening city local delivery network and setting bases for local fulfillment.
AllSuperMart was incorporated on October 27, 2015 in a bid to create an organized ecosystem for local shop vendors to sell their products and services online.
Headquartered in Mumbai, the company aims to develop an easier approach to utility and grocery shopping for consumers.
AllSuperMart customers will be able to buy their groceries and various other products online like Kitchenware and Electronics, from their trusted local vendors. The company aims to provide consumers with better shopping experience through local vendors on a virtual platform.
