Pepperfry launches offline experiential store in Hyderabad

Must Read

Online furniture and home decor startup Pepperfry has launched its experience store, Studio Pepperfry, in Hyderabad.
The studio showcases a range of furniture designs from Pepperfry’s online portfolio. The concept of the studio is not to serve as a sales point, but as a physical store where customers can interact with company staffers as well as touch and feel the products.
Studio Pepperfry aims to serve as a design inspiration, and even has in-house interior design consultants and architects to gauge what the customers are looking for and guide them accordingly.
This is the furniture e-marketplace’s first store in Hyderabad, but eighth store in India. Pepperfry has stores in Mumbai, and Bengaluru among other cities. The company plans to open 10 more studios across key metros in the country by the end of 2016.
In July 2015, Pepperfry raised $100 million from Goldman Sachs, Zodius Technology Fund, their present investors Bertelsmann India Investments and Norwest Venture Partners.
The company is in tough competition with private label retailer Urban Ladder, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
