MobiKwik launches cash pick-up services in Jaipur

Must Read

MobiKwik, India’s largest independent mobile payments network and the only mobile wallet to offer cash loading services, has announced tremendous growth of its Cash Pick Up services at the rate of 75 percent month-on-month since its launch in October last year.
According to a ANI report: After receiving great feedback and success in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, the service has now been launched in Jaipur.
“We take pride in being the first mobile payment company to launch cash loading and cash pick up service last year, to extend the benefits of MobiKwik to unbanked Indians and help them in making hassle-free, cashless transactions at more than 75,000 offline merchants and online stores,” Founder and CEO, MobiKwik, Bipin Preet Singh was quoted by ANI as saying.
“We launched in three cities to assess how the service is received by our consumers and are pleased with the growth we have achieved within nine months, thus the service has now also been launched in Jaipur,” he was further quoted by ANI.
This MobiKwik exclusive service allows users to add cash directly to their MobiKwik wallet, from the comfort of their home or office. Cash Pick Up by MobiKwik, literally brings the bank to the user’s doorstep, benefiting people who do not have access to bank accounts or credit and debit cards.
The service allows anywhere from Rs 100 to Rs 10,000 to be added to the user’s MobiKwik wallet in real time. Users can then make hassle-free payments across diverse use cases such as recharge, bills, food, travel and cabs, shopping, entertainment, money transfer and more.
Brand History
Founded in 2009 by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku, MobiKwik allows users to load money into a digital wallet using cash, loyalty points, debit card, credit card and Net banking, after which it can be utilized to make purchases online. It enables users to discover retailers (brick-and-mortar stores, e-commerce websites, m-commerce apps, billers etc) and then start paying them.
It is currently powering payments for companies such as Uber, Meru Cabs, Shuttl, Big Bazaar, OYO Rooms, Zomato, Barista, PVR, Archies, WHSmith India, BookMyShow, Grofers, Big Basket, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, eBay, ShopClues, Myntra, Jabong, Pepperfry, Star Sports, GoDaddy, MakeMyTrip, Cleartrip and Yatra.
Last year, it also tied up with state-run Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to offer its wallet service as a payment option for customers on IRCTC’s Android mobile app.
