Ace designer Anamika Khanna unveiled Elysian by Gitanjali. She praised Elysian’s collection and said, “It’s very good work and I am wearing one of its collection. I feel really proud. It’s very bold and to do something like this you really need to put your heart out there.”

A soulful rendition by Japan’s famed musician Naoki Tate – a multi-talented artist who uses diverse methods to generate music from percussion and folk instruments – welcomed guests at the store’s launch party.

Naoki especially composed the music for the launch of Elysian by Gitanjali and the compositions were titled: The Winds from Elysian and The March for India.

Gitanjali’s collection is a fine around bead work, embroidery and embellishments. From using finer detailing and soft tints to extensive usage and brighter colours, her dresses range from subtlety to conspicuity. Her creations have a certain panache, modernity and convenience, making the clothes very easy to drape yet cost effective and catering to women of every age group.

“Our clothes are very different. They are hand embroidered and have textured embellishment and our shapes and silhouettes are for modern India women,” said designer Gitanjali Fatehpuria while talking about her collection.

The ensemble of Elysian includes capes, short cocktail dresses, long evening gowns, crop jackets, long jacket with pants and palazzos with pleated layers. She majorly uses silk, georgette, crepe and net for her dresses and gowns. Her versatility is shown in her ability to infuse traditional aesthetics and heritage with internationally tailored silhouettes, thus, making every Indian woman feel like a princess in the midst of the urban Indian chaos.
