After Patanjali, Future Group to sell Sri Sri Ayurveda products

Home-grown retail major Future Group on Saturday said it is open to selling Ayurvedic FMCG products of Sri Sri Ayurveda promoted by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of Art of Living, as it has done with the range of products of Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurveda.
“If the customers want it then why not? We are open to the thought,” Founder and Chief Executive of Future Group Kishore Biyani, told PTI.
Biyani had gone to speak at the World Culture Festival which had been organized by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The Future Group has yet to get into discussion with Sri Sri Ayurveda and strike a deal. Much like Patanjali, Sri Sri Ayurveda too offers ayurvedic products in categories such as food and nutrition, personal category, and health category.
It also sells spices, soap, fragrances, candle lights and apparels through its online portal www.sattvastore.com.
Future Group had entered into a marketing partnership with Patanjali Ayurveda to sell its products in October 2015.
Kishore Biyani expeccts the group to do business worth Rs 1,000 crore in the next 20 months with Patanjali’s product.
Besides this, Kishore Biyani had said that both Future Group and Patanjali were also considering to have production partnership and jointly develop brands in the long-term.
Future group is betting big on food and consumer business and also aiming to clock a revenue of Rs 20,000-crore in this segment by the year 2021.
