HTC inks 3-year deal to manufacture Nexus

A report from a Chinese website states that HTC may have bagged a three-year exclusive contract to build Google’s Nexus devices. Currently, LG is building Nexus phones. Before this Samsung, Huawei and Motorola build Google’s Nexus devices.
HTC is credited with building the first ever Nexus one as well as a Nexus tablet. The new Nexus devices which the company is building will include 3D touchscreens. HTC is also expected to showcase the upcoming Nexus N.
ROM developer LlabTooFeR leaked the codenames of the two models in a tweet. The 5-inch model – a replacement for Nexus 5X – is being called T50 while the bigger one – which will replace the Nexus 6P – is called T55.
Google might look at making the 3D touch a standard for Android. 3D touch is a technology that most Chinese smartphone brands – including Xiaomi, Meizu, Oppo and Vivo – are working into their future handsets.
Most recently, Gionee unveiled its Elife S8 phone that boasts of the 3D Touch feature too.
