Big Fish raises Rs 75 crore in second round of funding

New Delhi-based premium dining startup, Big Fish Ventures, has raised Rs 75 crores in its second round of funding from some high net worth individuals and founder Umang Tiwari.
Big Fish Ventures was founded in 2015 and owns and operates many food and beverage outlets in casual dining cafes and lounges category. Brands like The Junkyard Cafe, GaramDharam, Vault Cafe, Public Connection, Bandstand and Raas in Delhi/ NCR fall under the umbrella of Big Fish Ventures. There are 8 operational outlets managed by the startup and by the end of the this year, it eyes to increase its portfolio to 20.
The venture is planning to invest the funds in their existing brands, developing new concept-based brands and beefing up technology in terms of presence on the mobile and online space.
Last month, a mobile app for table reservations at its restaurants was launched by the startup. The venture owned by Umang Tiwari is looking forward to spread its wings in Mumbai and Dubai apart from exploring opportunities in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.
It is also working on developing new brands including courtyard concept – Garden and a cafe by the name OMG – Oh My God!. The venture owns all the its concepts, brand holding and runs the operations and development of its brands.
