Food delivery startup Cookaroo raises funding

Cookaroo, Bengaluru-based food delivery startup has raised a new round of funding from managing director of Highland Hospitalities, Vijay Krishna Yadav. The amount of funding is yet to be disclosed.
Sachindra Murugesh, vice-president of business development at Cookaroo also took a part in the round. The food delivery startup is planning to use a major chunk of fundings for the improvement of technology to serve the customers better and apart from this, the company is also planning to expand their business in different areas of Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Cookaroo that works on the same model as OYO Rooms was founded last year. It is known for delivering freshly prepared meals from commercial kitchens. Across Bengaluru, the food delivery startup has 15 operational commercial kitchens and processes around 200 orders.
Most of the recently opened food delivery startups are taking care of the consumer side of the food delivery ecosystem. Cookaroo differentiates itself from the crowd by solving the problems that exist in the supply chain as well.
