Along with the these two key appointments, the company plans to bring on board more than 300 people across divisions in the near future.

“As we get aggressive on our expansion plans, we’ll be strengthening our task force at all levels and have fresh and experienced talent join us. With Tapan Roychoudhury and Prashant Sharma bringing in their domain expertise into the system, Voylla for sure is expected to gain a lot,” Vishwas Shringi, CEO & Founder of Voylla.com, said in an official release.

Tapan Roychoudhury comes with an experience of over 20 years with reputed retail organisations such as Fabindia and Sahara across the Gulf and India. Sharma comes with over 15 years of rich experience covering across finance and commercial domains. His last assignment was with Bata Zambia as Finance Director.

Voylla has already created a niche in the country’s most fragmented fashion jewellery market and with its focus on omni-channel model it plans to become the category leader.

“Over the next two years the company will be bringing on board more than 100 employees – via direct and indirect engagement at Voylla stores that are expected to achieve a target of 400% YoY growth,” the company said.
The start-up raised funding of USD 15 million from private equity firm, Peepul Capital last month. Launched in 2012, Voylla.com sells jewellery and accessories for men, women and kids on its own portal as well as on other online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, among others. The company has an offline presence in Pune, Bengaluru and Nagpur via shop-in-shop format Central Mall.
