Now, Wooplr joins the 'Social shopping' squad

Must Read

Wooplr, India’s first fashion discovery app, has announced its foray into social shopping. The Wooplr app will now not only help people decide what to buy and where, but will also let them shop in real time. The app will also provide its users a personalized feed of curated fashion products.

With its latest addition, the app has re-defined itself, moving from pure fashion discovery platform to commerce-enabled inspiration.
“The platform has shown phenomenal growth through 2015. We’ve found that the app really clicks with women between the ages of 16 and 30 years, with over 30% of our user base being from Delhi alone. With close to 10 million product views in the month of June alone, we are now more sure than ever that Wooplr is on the path to something amazing. It’s only going to get bigger and better from here.” said Mr. Arjun Zacharia, Co-founder and CEO, in a press statement.
The app further eliminates boundaries by offering multi-channel options, allowing users to shop from both online and brick-and-mortar stores. Wooplr has partnered with established e-commerce brands like Jabong, StalkBuyLove and Koovs, and has exclusive associations with other known retail brands. The app is designed to be any fashion enthusiast’s one-stop destination, from inspiration to purchase.
Some social shopping platforms currently operating in India include Limeroad, Voonix, Klip.in, among others. Recently, even Myntra announced its plans to become the ‘Facebook of fashion’. Myntra is planning to turn itself into a fashion network where users can invite friends, form a group, chat, upload photos and seek out the opinion of friends and experts before buying clothes or accessories.
