In an ever changing world of technology, retailers across the globe by incorporating new technologies are creating seamless experiences for customers and also to increase the productivity and effectiveness of their businesses. In line with these advancements and to help midsize organisations to succeed in today’s rapidly changing business environment, the global IT services and software solutions company, JK Technosoft, has entered into a strategic partnership with the world leader in the commercial open source software space, Openbravo, which helps midsize to large organisations in 60+ countries.
Francesco Leto, COO of Openbravo says,“Our partnership with JKTech allows us to realise our growth strategy in targeting larger organisations that look forward to implementing a bimodal organisation based on a two tier ERP and business application strategy. These types of organisations, which are often very large multinational corporations, tend to run their core head office operations upon a proven ERP system while seeking more agility for their fast moving operations, such as integrating subsidiaries, retail distributors, new acquisitions with lower TCO and easy to deploy solutions.”
This strategic alliance combines JKT’s experience of two decades in providing commerce and logistics solutions to its global clients while Openbravo’s cutting-edge technology to deliver world-class web-based solutions that meet the needs of midsize companies across varied industries.
This collaboration will allow Openbravo to strengthen its presence globally and especially in India and the Asia Pacific region to distribute its successful Openbravo Commerce Suite and Openbravo Business Suite solutions.
Arun Sikri, Strategic Practice Head, JKT says, “We are confident about creating more opportunities and achieving great success together. Being an Openbravo partner will enable us to efficiently provide value-added, web-based commerce and ERP services to our customers.”
Small and medium enterprises in India are increasingly the target of technology solution providers looking to expand beyond big business.
The world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, GoDaddy Inc., has also recently launched the GoDaddy online store to help allow small businesses and entrepreneurs of India to sell unlimited products across categories on the internet.

He adds, “The sellers and merchants can be from any vertical. At present, only 20 per cent of the SMBs are online; 80 per cent are still working offline. We are aiming at encouraging and bringing them up to use internet as an important business tool.”
The GoDaddy online store is built on visual appeal and the deep analytics to draw insights on customer behaviour and performance. The benefits include,
selling of unlimited products on the internet, free hosting with unlimited bandwidth, industry leading transaction and zero set up fee for payments, 100+ payment options including all major debit and credit cards, wallets, net banking options.
“The rapid growth of e-commerce in India represents a compelling business opportunity for SMBs. This launch is another proofpoint of GoDaddy localising its world-class solutions tailored as per the requirements of the Indian small businesses to grow their business online,” notes Sodhi.
“Just about every business will become an internet of things (IoT) business. The convergence of the digital and physical worlds makes this inevitable,” Jahangir Mohammed, CEO of Jasper Technologies, Inc, says in the editorial ’14 Tech Predictions for 2020′ for the World Economic Forum.
“When the products companies sell are connected 24x7x365, dynamic and ever-improving value can be delivered to customers throughout the product’s life cycle. Therefore, launching a successful IoT business requires a fundamental shift, a transition from product-centric to service-centric business models. Those who recognise that the internet of things is about service will be positioned to meet these new customer demands, unlock new sources of revenue and thrive in this connected world,” he points out in the editorial.
