e-Commerce Platform for Organic Products, JoybyNature Raises Funds

Delhi-based Pavitra Retail Private Limited’s e-commerce venture for organic products JoybyNature, has raised US$ 1 million from Mumbai Angels, Contrarian Vriddhi Fund and a bunch of high-net-worth (HNI) individuals. The company will use the funding to revamp the technology platform, introduce private labels and facilitate induction of new talents, as reported. The expeditious rise in the market for organic and natural products will play a major role in the company’s vision of global expansion. JoybyNature has recently forayed into organic beauty products. Founded in 2013 by an IIT alumni, Shailesh Mehta and Rahul Kumar from IIM-Hyderabad, the company ships 300 to 350 orders per day owing to the huge demand for organic products. The revenue forecast is planted at Rs. 1.7 cr. for the year 2015.
