Brick-and-mortar retailers can no longer avoid the omni-channel path: J Suresh

Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, the retail subsidiary of India’s largest textile company Arvind Ltd. is developing a robust omni-channel framework across all portfolio brands to walk along with e-commerce rivals.
Arvind has multiple international marquee brands, including Calvin Klein, Nautica, US Polo, Gant, The Children’s Place in its portfolio. Last week, the company also partnered with GAP for latter’s India’s debut.
Speaking exclusively to indiaretailing, J Suresh,Managing Director & CEO of Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd. shared his views on the future of omni-channel strategies and his company’s plans. “There is no question that all brick-and-mortar retailers today need to be omni-channel retailers. I mean, one simply has to be an omni-channel retailer now. It’s not like there is a choice.”
“Arvind Lifestyle Brands is currently developing a robust omni-channel framework — across all portfolio brands — which is to go live in October 2015,” he confirrmed.

The company is also partnering with American speciality retailer of children’s apparel and accessories, The Children’s Place  for the latter’s entry into India in August with a debut store at the Orion Mall in Bangalore.
