Danish fashion group Bestseller is all set to expand its portfolio by bringing premium brand, Selected, to India. Bestseller which owns around 15 brands, currently operates menswear brand Jack and Jones, and women’s wear brands Vero Moda and Only, in the country.
“We have added one more brand, Selected, to our portfolio which we plan to launch in a couple of months,” Ranjan Sharma, chief information officer at Bestseller India was quoted as saying.
Selected is a Danish women’s wear and menswear brand providing young individuals and fashionistas with edgy and fashion-forward Scandinavian style with an international touch. Selected was launched in 1997 and is today established in 25 countries around the world with more than 30 unisex brand stores and 1,300 external multi-brand stores.
“Bestseller India will launch only the menswear collection under the Selected brand in India to begin with. It will cater to a slightly premium category than Jack and Jones,” added Sharma.
Bestseller India also is inclined towards launching Selected on one of the online marketplaces and then to take it to a brick-and-mortar format sometime later.
