The Pink Tree Salon opened its doors to the people of Kolkata in September. It’s a calm salon space in the busy Topsia district adjoining China Town. The objective was to create a quiet private environment with an emphasis on personalised services for customers. To reflect this, the team has relied on the simplicity and bareness of concrete-like finishes to complement the richness of wood and pink leather to create an inward looking space. Flooring has a combination of vitrified tiles from Nitco and engineered hardwood flooring from Ego.
Spread over 1300 sq ft, the salon and spa offers services in hair, beauty nails and make-up. The products used are Wella Professionals, L’Oréal Professionnel, TIGI for hair colour and care; Serenite for skin; MAC and Kryolan for make-up; OPI for nails.
Lyvia Wu, Owner, Pink Tree Salon, was a Technical Consultant with Wella Professionals in 2000. She has a natural flair for hair and beauty as she comes from a family of hairdressers who share the same passion for hairstyling and colouring. Her twin sister, Sylvia Chen, is the Creative Director of Butterfly Pond in Mumbai.
