Global Hospitality Equipment Manufactures (GHEM) association formed

Commercial kitchen equipment manufacturers and suppliers across India have formed an association called (GHEM). The first meeting under the aegis of GHEM was held on 15th September at the office of the Images Group in New Delhi.

The newly formed GHEM members discussed the immediate issues and challenges affecting their businesses, and sought to address them on a priority basis. An issue discussed was the problem of allotment of suitable space/location during major trade events such as AAHAR. They expressed their interest to participate jointly under the GHEM pavillion at the prestigious Food Forum of India/ India Food Service Forum organised by the Images Group annually in Mumbai.

The members felt that a common pavilion would enable interested buyers/visitors at the event to come at a single location instead of having to look for kitchen equipment exhibitors spread across the venue. This would enable the buyers and visitors to view and compare products of different types and brands, and meet the company heads/representatives within the common display area, thus saving them precious time and effort.

GHEM strives to safeguard and represent the interests of its members, in particular, and of the industry, in general, by taking-up various issues affecting the business of its members, through timely representations to the government bodies, hotels, restaurants and their associations. Members are encouraged to share ideas and exchange information on current trends and identify fresh avenues for growth.

Members currently include RAKESH TARA (ANGELO PO), DINESH RAJAGOPALAN (NAYATI), (CORNELIEUS), SANJEEVAK MARWAH (WINTERHALTER), (CREM INTERNATIONAL), MAUHA DAS (MKN), SANDEEP CHANANA (SALVA), KIRAN JADAV (ADANDE REFRIGERATION), NILOY DAS (MEIKO), and JAGDISH PRASHAD (BLANCO).
