Textile manufacturer, SV Pittie Textiles has announced that it has planned $70 million facilities near Sylvania, Georgia, United States. The plant, which will be located in Screven County Industrial Park, will employ 250 people when it’s fully operational.

Construction is expected to begin this year, with the jobs phased in over the next four years. In welcoming the textile giant to Georgia, Deal credited their announcement last October with playing a role in Georgia winning Site Selection Magazine’s Most Competitive State for 2013.
The Screven County Industrial Park is certified as a Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development site, one of more than 30 GRAD sites around the state that offer advanced due diligence for industrial development. The company will also take advantage of the services of Georgia Quick Start, a state program that will provide the company with free, customised workforce training and development.

Founded in 1898, Shrivallabh Pittie Group has a substantial presence in the Indian textile sector, operating in 13 locations and the company will be manufacturing a range of different counts of carded cotton yarn in the upcoming project.
