Govt. Lifts Power Curb on Delhi Malls

The government has removed the power curb on Delhi malls after 10 pm with an improved electricity supply in the city, according to a government official, states IANS.

“Following damage caused to towers and lines due to the storm on May 30, LG Najeeb Jung ordered stopping of power supply to malls after 10 pm,” said the officer.

Last month, Jung had directed that shopping malls in the national capital will not be supplied power after 10 pm. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Power), senior officers of Delhi Transco Limited and CEOs of all the power distribution companies, when he made the announcement.
