From a small set-up at home in the suburbs to being the Head of Hair for VLCC, Rukmini Honawar, a name to reckon with in the Indian salon industry, has been there and done it all. She has been in this industry for the last 26 years and witnessed its development into a lucrative and viable career option for the youth of today. Honawar, a legendary name in the Hair & Beauty industry, and founder of Runah Salon. She is known for her extraordinary skills and techniques, both traditional and modern. She took up styling as a career option in 1980, gradually joined Morris Master Class, Singapore. This was her first step into the international hair industry in 1990. Honawar had tied up with Cheryl’s Cosmetics in the 90’s and since then has worked closely with their core team. She has completed courses in hair from Vidal Sassoon, Saks International, Tony&Guy, Guy Kremer, Patrick Cameron and other international trainers. Her selection as L’Oréal Professionnel’s Creative Hairdresser Forum member and the recognition of Runah Salon as a Prestige Salon was an honour that boosted her desire to bring the very best to her growing clientele.
