Must Read

Sula Vineyards won a Silver Medal for its Rasa Shiraz 2012 at the prestigious Syrah Du Monde held in Chaintré, France. Now in its 8th edition, Syrah du Monde is officially endorsed by the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry (DGCCRF) since September 2006. The competition aims at recognizing the best Syrah/Shiraz wines from around the world

The Rasa is the only Shiraz from India to be awarded a medal at this year’s competition (and one of four from Asia) in which 405 wines from 26 countries had participated. Produced by Sula Vineyards, Rasa Shiraz is a complex red wine and considered a collector’s item. The 2013 vintage Rasa will be launched in a couple of months.

Earlier, the 2007 vintage Rasa Shiraz had also been awarded at the 2010 edition of Syrah du Monde. Sula Vineyards’ award-winning wines are available nationwide at the finest hotels and restaurants, and exported to Asia, Europe, USA and Canada. The company enjoys a 70% market share in the domestic market, and is also a leading wine importer under the umbrella of Sula Selections, with a portfolio of prestigious brands from leading producers like Remy Cointreau, William Grant & Sons, Hardys, Ruffino and Asahi Beer.

Sula Vineyards also pioneered the concept of wine tourism in India, and opened the country’s first Tasting Room at Sula in 2005, and India’s first vineyard resort in 2007. With 170,000 visitors in 2013, Sula is one of the most visited wineries in the world.
