Krispy Kreme Opens 600th International Store at Carolina, Puerto-Rico

International sweet treat retailer Krispy Kreme has opened its 600th international store in Carolina, Puerto-Rico in association with its Puerto-Rico based franchise partner, Caribbean Glaze Corporation. Spread over 2,800 sq. ft. outlet features Krispy Kreme’s Hot Light and Doughnut Theatre.

Speaking on the occasion, Dan Beem, Krispy Kreme President — International, said: “We look forward to commemorating this milestone with Caribbean Glaze, its outstanding management team, and our many doughnut and coffee fans throughout Puerto Rico,” said “We are excited to see our international franchise business growing through deeper relationships with our franchise partners. All are signs of a bright future for our brand and our global partners.”

John Cook, CEO and President, Caribbean Glaze, stated: “We are delighted to finally open a store in Carolina. It is our pleasure to bring the joy of Krispy Kreme closer to the east side, with an amazing new store design and our signature quality products.”

Caribbean Glaze opened its first Krispy Kreme location in 2008 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. It currently operates additional locations in Guaynabo, Dorado, Ponce, Mayagüez, and Hatillo. The Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut can be found in over 800 retail shops in more than 20 countries in North America, Latin America, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.

Caribbean Glaze Corporation owns the franchise and development rights for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Puerto Rico. Its main offices and distribution center are located in Cataño.

Headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., Krispy Kreme  offers doughnuts and coffee since it was founded in 1937.
