Mother Dairy Launches Yogurt-Based Innovations

Mother Dairy, India’s leading dairy player has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Aam Doi; mango flavoured sweet curd or doi. Besides, the company is also launching lassi or yogurt-based drink in two variants, Sweet Lassi and Masala Lassi in cup-style packs. The consumption of yogurt and yogurt-based products are quite high in summers in India, specially lassi.

Speaking at the launch, Subhashis Basu, Business Head, Dairy Products, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable, says, “Mango, as a fruit is relished by all age groups in India and the flavour goes well with the traditional mishti doi. The challenge for us was to create a product with an authentic taste and consistency and I must say that we have been able to deliver the desired product. ‘Aam Doi’ has been developed keeping in mind the Bengali taste and their love for food. It has been specially launched in Kolkata ahead of any other city. I am sure our new innovation will be appreciated by our consumers.”

Keeping  in mind the increased consumption of mishti doi, the company has also changed the packaging of the product to make it more familiar to the Bengali culture and it’s people.

Aam Doi will be available across Kolkata through Mother Dairy’s retail network in a 85 gm pack for Rs 15. While cup lassis will be available in 200 ml cups, priced at Rs 12.” We have also come out with a special introductory offer of Rs 2 off on the lassis,” Basu shares.
