Sattviko Transfigures Healthy and Vegetarian Eating in India

Promoting vegetarian and healthy eating habits among Indian consumers, Sattviko, a fast casual pure vegetarian restaurant has been launched in Delhi at M-Block market,Greater Kailash-II. The restaurant covering 740 sq ft area can serve upto 35 customers at a time. Sattviko is co-founded by Prasoon Gupta and Ankush Sharma, from IIT Roorkee.

As the name suggests, Sattviko serves sattvik cuisine,food prepared without onion and garlic. The menu at Sattvik offers continental, Indian and Mexican cuisine. The restaurant with 35 covers, has a delivery outlet at Vasant Kunj and will soon be expanding their delivery system to include Gurgaon.

“The idea was to open a restaurant chain that serves healthy and tasty food with  a menu that offers a wide variety of global cuisine. Sattvik way of food preparation has been defined by the Vedas as the most wholesome way of preparing food, which preserves the wellness of the food.Since sattvik food is strictly vegetarian,we wanted to create a product that is authentic sattvik and does not even contain ingredients such as onion and garlic,” says, Prasoon Gupta, Founder, Sattviko.

He adds, “As Yoga has become a part of daily and healthy lifestyles of people across the globe,our vision is to promote sattvik as the most preferred food choice for the healthy lifestyle of people across the globe.”

Sattviko’s backend,kitchen is being managed by Chef Rishi Verma, who has a rich culinary background of being associated with the Oberoi Group, Accor and Taj Group of Hotels.He demonstrates his culinary mastery at Sattviko by creating innovative signature dishes comprising sabudana poha, quad burger, chilled melon salad, shrikhand, and frozen banana.

Emphasising on healthy dining in India with the tagline, ‘Sabse Healthy, Sabse Tasty’, Sattviko plans to expand through retail outlets and corporate tie ups.
