Embassy of Sweden in India enters strategic tie-up towards awareness, fundraising and knowledge exchange with NGO operation Smile India, that works towards cleft palate removal in infants and young children. The association was marked by a two-day event that includes a fundraising dinner hosted by the Ambassador of Sweden, Harald Sandberg at the embassy, and fashion show by designer Samant Chauhan themed ‘Rajputana for a cause’ and a polo match the following day at the Jaipur Polo Grounds.

Supporting them through the evening with their presence and initiative were Sunil Sethi, President FDCI, Gudmundur Eiriksson, Ambassador of Iceland, Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark, Samant Chauhan, Fashion Designer, Nafisa Ali, film and theatre personality, Amir Pasrich, polo player, Manjit Bhullar, polo patron and luxury furniture designer among other dignitaries.

“I have done many fashion shows in the Nordic countries and it was nice to partner Sweden in India – this Rajputana collection is themed fashion for a cause and is dedicated to all those children who will benefit from cleft removal surgery, ” says fashion designer, Samant Chauhan.
