    Beyond Squarefeet Ties-up with MAAD Retailing Studies Centre, Iran

    Mall advisory company Beyond Squarefeet has tied up with MAAD Retailing Studies Centre (MRSC), Iran which conducts conferences, conventions, exhibitions, training and seminars on retailing and shopping centre management.

    According to the company officials, the objective of the partnership is to work with all the stakeholders to create the right environment for the growth of the mall developers and to encourage, develop, facilitate and support shopping centres to become modern and adopt best practices. The alliance is expected to help both Beyond Squarefeet & MRSC to hand-hold mall developers of Iran to create malls of international standards.

    Commenting on the alliance, , Chief Mall Mechanic, Beyond Squarefeet, said: “In our endeavour of creating successful shopping centres, we now are looking at developing markets such as Iran, Central Asia, North Africa etc. to expand and also to use our expertise of mall development and mall management. The mall developers of these developing markets would benefit from our international exposure and experience.”

    Ali Amiri, Chairman, MRSC, said: “We see a lot of synergy in the learning curve of the Indian retail and shopping centre market vis-a-vis the developing market of Iran. We are sure that the Iranian mall developers will have a lot to their advantage from the learnings of Beyond Squarefeet, who have the experience of working in various Asian markets.”

    Beyond Squarefeet specialises in mall conceptualisation, mall positioning, mall marketing and leasing, mall management and mall re-orientation. It currently hand holds 19 malls spread over 12 million sq.ft. across India and Nepal.
