India Food Service Forum (IFSF 2014) to Feature a 2-day Drinks Theatre along with Tulleeho


Tulleeho Wine Academy has been invited by FGFI organiser – Images Group – to conceptualise and implement a Drinks Theatre at the upcoming IFSF – a concurrent show being held along with the 7th Food and Grocery Forum at BEC, Mumbai, on the 23rd and 24th of January, 2014.

At the Drinks Theatre, a series of tastings and seminars with a select audience drawn from beverage importers, beverage companies, the hospitality industry, the media, travel retail sector, and the food retail segment, will be conducted.

Discussions on wine related tastings will include two sessions on Spanish Wines of well-known brands from Spain, namely, Vinicola de Castilla (Sparkling Wine Semi seco-Tempranillo 2013); Bodegas Penafiel (Miros de Ribero Reserva 07); and Murviedro (Sauvignon Rosse Vintage 12 and Syrah Vintage 12). The second session will host Murviedro (sauvignon blanc vintage 2012 and reserva vintage ’09); Vinicola de Castilla (Chardonnay and sparkling wine semi seco); and Bodegas Penafiel (Miros Joven roble 2011).

A panel discussion on ‘Factors constraining the increased presence of Indian Wine on Top Drawer hotels and restaurants’ wine lists’ will include expert panelists, namely, Sonal Holland – Corporate Head, Wines and Beverages, ITC Hotels; Cecilia Oldne – Global Brand Ambassador / Head International Business, Sula Vineyards; and Gauri Devidayal – Partner, The Table, Mumbai.

With growing consumption of wine by Indian consumers, of which women comprise a sizeable number, the Indian market is seeing an increasing number of players, both domestic and international. In view of the wine segment’s significant growth, the growing sophistication of beverage retail in the country, as also the increased role of Modern Trade in the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, the Forum will host a dedicated area specifically for wines and other alcoholic beverages.

FGFI is the only event in India that connects the food and grocery retailers and food service operators.
