Leisure and entertainment chain Landmark has opened its second store in Bangalore at Orion mall, Malleshwaram. Spread over 15,000 sq.ft., the new outlet has different sections for books, toys, gift items, stationery, movies, music, gaming, technology, and sports goods. The retailer has an existing store in The Forum, Koramangala.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashutosh Pandey, COO, Landmark, said: “Our store in The Forum has been one of our best stores over the past few years. As we’ve built our clientele for the store, we’ve seen a very strong and loyal base develop in Bangalore, and hence the decision to open a second store in the city. We chose Orion mall in Brigade Gateway Campus, Malleshwaram, owing to its proximity to the cosmopolitan crowd, which we feel will appreciate the offerings of a store like Landmark.”

According to the company officials, Landmark started its operations in 1987 in Chennai with a floor space of 5,500 sq.ft. It now has 17 stores, ranging in size from 12,000 sq.ft. to 45,000 sq.ft. with 4 stores in Chennai, 2 each in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore; and 1 each in Vadodara, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Delhi. Landmark is a subsidiary of Trent; a part of Tata Group.
