AMR Infrastructure will unveil The Great Adventure Mall in Greater Noida with an approximate investment of Rs 650 crore and a gross leasable area of 11 lakh sq.ft. Said to be an ultimate entertainment and leisure destination, the first phase of mall will open for the public in June, 2012.

Around Rs 200 crore of the total budget has been dedicated for leisure and entertainment by the mall. It will offer adventure sports such as reverse bungee jumping, zipline, zorbing, zero gravity tunnels, hot air balloons, archery, shooting range, paintball, sky venture, army obstacle course, 4 x 4 drives, paragliding, rappelling, and ice skating. The mall will also house seven-star tented resorts.

According to Kapil Aggarwal, MD, AMR Infrastructures: “There are many ways in which the term adventure can be defined but the most correct way of defining it is ‘doing something which is considered out of one’s own limits’ and at The Great Adventure Mall, expanding these limits, is exactly what we have set out to do in our endeavour.”

“The Great Adventure mall is poised to carry forward its presence throughout the nation and is already capturing the imagination of the world. The special features of the mall include green concepts, recycling, rain harvesting, and heat protection,” added Aggarwal.

The exterior architecture of the mall has been done by AEDAS, while the interior architecture has been taken care by Creative Strokes. The landscaping of the mall has been done by Maheshwari & Maheshwari, and Colliars/ Knight Frank will take care of both security and parking management. There are 8 lifts and 10 escalators in the mall provided by Schindlers. There will be three floors in the mall with three entries and four exits. The mall will have a parking area of 3,00,000 sq.ft. with a capacity of 3,000 and 2,500 four- and two-wheelers, respectively.

Talking about the location of the mall, Aggarwal said: “Low real estate capital cost, low rentals, availability of affordable and quality housing and office spaces that could ramp up capacities very quickly are some of the facilities offered by Greater Noida. Besides, Metro railroad and Noida Expressway will also provide great connectivity.”

The Great Adventure Mall refused to disclose the identity of the brands signed but informed that the mall will house a six-screen multiplex. The mall has adopted the International Property Consultant (IPC) model for revenue. Aggarwal added that IPC is in tie-up with all international brands and the move is taken to bring major international brands to the mall.

Aggarwal seemed confident about the success of his mall as he said: “The features we are going to offer are different and there are no reasons why we should not be sure of the success or regret the decision of coming up in Greater Noida. Our concept of bringing adventure sports within the reach of the common man is a unique one, adopted by only one or two malls in India till date.”

According to Aggarwal, “In India, people are looking for exposure and want to go for adventure sports to different places. At the Great Adventure Mall, we are coming up with everything at the same place. Thus we are sure India is ready for such huge ventures.”
