ISP & BMI kicks off with conference and technical sessions

Beauty no more remains a fleeting word in the world of intellect! As the consciousness about the subject has increased and the urban households are touching the higher consumption graph, there remains much to discover. As the much anticipated show of the year the Salon Pro and Beauty Market India begins to weave its magic, there are several interesting sessions lined up.

The show starts with the arrival of Shahnaz Husain, CEO of Shahnaz Herbals Inc as the Chief Guest of the event. She throws light on the beauty sector of India which is opening up. Rashmi Upadhyay, Managing Consultant, Transaction Services Strategy, PwC and Abheek Singhi, Partner and Directcor, BCG, come together to give an overview of the business of beauty.

Jayant Kochar, Group Director, Images Group, kicks off the inaugural session. Followed by Govind Rajan, VP Skincare, Unilever, Kabir Lumba, MD Lifestyle and several other illuminaries. Then there is the exchange of knowledge, a nerve center for the professionals in both beauty services and the cosmetics industry. There is a presentation by NHBA (National Hairdressers and Beauticians Association) and AIBHA (All India Beauticians and Hairdresser’s Association) which would feature veterans like Dr Blossom Kochhar and Madhu Mohan giving tips on the fine details of the business. This would be followed by WAHL India’ s Hair Safari session where Ashish Christian, the Creative Director, le femme and the other members of WAHL India’s artistic team, Vipul Chudasama, Raman Bhardwaj and Savio John Periera conduct a look and learn seminar on the art of using clippers.

Some of the finest names in the hair industry like Shiaobin Chen, Asha Hariharan, Ryan D’rozario and Dhruv Abichandani will be showcasing talent with their perfect stroke of brush and their creativity. The icing on the cake would, however, be Misty Maidens by Vipul Chudasama, that will transfer the audience to the world of dreams and fairy tales.

With participants like Oyster Cosmetics manufacturers of hair color, haircare and skincare cosmetics; Farmen’s; Pidielle’s hair color brand Elgo; RVB Perfumes; Pool Service; Studex® and several more, the event is the first of its kind to make a mark in the salon, beauty and wellness industry.
