Lacoste has launched its first concept store ‘Lacoste L!ve’ in India at Select Citywalk, Delhi, showcasing the Autumn/ Winter collection 2011.

Speaking on the occasion, Christophe Lemaire, Designer, Lacoste L!ve Autumn Winter collection 2011, said: “Fusion of colors and bold designs, the collection at Lacoste L!ve brings a fresh new attitude by playing with the classic to reinvent the future. We have played with fabrics, texture, colors, and bold design to create unexpected and cool combination of Lacoste original style and street art. With the opening of Lacoste L!ve’s first concept store in India, we are very enthusiastic about displaying this unique design inspiration with the real fashionista.“

The first theme of the collection, Geometric and 3D range, is inspired by 80s ski clubs with a glacier color range that encompasses a graphic game built around stereoscopic anaglyphs, which are color filters that when stacked up create a 3D relief effect. The look is inspired by geometric abstract artist and founder of the Suprematist movement Kazimir Malevich.

The second theme, Outdoor and Ivy League Collection is a combination of vintage and heritage with an outdoor atmosphere of hiking and exploring.

For each season, a guest artist or designer will be invited to create a capsule collection. Cult French artist Honet is the first, and for Spring/Summer 2011 he has composed two polos, a T-shirt and sweatshirt.

A Fall/Winter 2011 collection is also available for girls. Lacoste L!ve focuses on clothing and footwear. L!ve co-creates collections with artists and musicians across the globe.
