India’s leading natural care brand and a market leader in sun protection, Lotus Herbals has become the first company to introduce the UV Index forecast in India. As a socially responsible skin care brand, Lotus Herbals has taken the initiative to educate and inform people about UV Index, its intensity and the necessary precautions. An international standard to measure the strength of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun at a particular place on a particular day, the UV Index is meant for the general public so that they can protect themselves against the harmful rays of the sun which cause, skin care, ageing and other diseases. The company has tied-up with English news channel CNN-IBN and the Hindi news channel IBN-7 to broadcast the UV index in the format of a weather report thrice a day, initially for a period of one month. The forecast will be aired in six metros – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
