Quiznos signs master franchise agreement for India

Must Read

As part of its international development initiative, US-based premier restaurant chain for subs, salads and soups Quiznos plans to enter India. The company has recently signed a master franchise agreement with Arjun Valluri – who has brought a variety of restaurant concepts, including Xtreme Sports Bar, to southern India – to open its first outlet in May this year.

With 15 Xtreme Sports Bar locations and three Caffe Latte concepts, Valluri, awarded the master franchising rights for southern India, including Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai and Hyderabad, will help Quiznos with understanding of the local market.

“There is a strong customer preference towards hot food in India, and Quiznos’ toasted sandwiches and unmatched quality made the brand a clear and compelling fit for this market,” said Valluri.

By the end of the year, Quiznos plans to open a total of five outlets in India. Over the next few years, the Denver-based company plans to open at least 40 locations in the country and grow the brand’s international footprint to more than 40 countries and territories.
