Must Read

Cosmetics and toiletries brand The Body Shop (TBS) is upbeat on India, one of the fastest growing markets for TBS. The company plans to continue opening more stores through India, making its innovative and 100 per cent vegetarian products accessible across the country.

Calling India a key market for the brand, TBS global CEO Sophie Gasperment said, “By 2014, we aim to multiply the number of transactions by 10 and to increase the number of people who will experience the brand to 15 million [in India]. In only four years, The Body Shop India has performed exceptionally well and has already reached the remarkable milestone of 55 stores.”

Over the next four years, the company plans to take the store count to 150, including outlets in tier II and III cities, in India.

Gasperment further said the decision to market the TBS range of naturally inspired high-quality products “at a price that is accessible and affordable to our loyal customers in India” witnessed an excellent response.

TBS currently has 55 stores across 23 cities.
