Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Limited, which runs one of the largest chains of health clubs in India, has launched its first health club in Rajkot, Gujarat.
Over the last year, Talwalkars has been aggressively undergoing an expansion drive that is spreading fitness to new cities such as Rajahmundry and Jaipur, along with other cities in the North and the East.
Speaking on the inauguration of the health club, CEO Prashant Talwalkar said, “We are extremely happy to open our first health club in Rajkot. This city has the potential to become a major commercial hub of the state and we hope that we can spread fitness to residents of this vibrant city.”
The Talwalkars health club at Rajkot boasts of the latest international fitness and cardio equipment, personal trainers, dieticians, a nutrition centre and follows a holistic approach to fitness and well-being.
Anant Gawande, chief financial officer and whole time director, Talwalkars, said, “With the Rajkot opening, we have further consolidated our leadership position in the health and fitness industry in India. We are also looking at aggressively expanding into many other cities in the North and East regions as well.”
Talwalkars is present across 39 cities with over 76 gyms.
