Must Read

Spain National Tourism Board (Tourspain) and Mango are currently running a joint promotion event in India, which aims to promote Spain as a tourist destination, especially in the fashion and shopping segments.

The event will be held in the flagships Mango stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Delhi and Manila, with the objective of targetting young, urban consumers. The promotion intends to reach around 700,000 potential consumers.

On the purchase of Rs. 3000 or above, consumers will get a limited edition “Mango- I need Spain” t-shirt. There is also a lucky draw with a holiday for two in Barcelona as the prixe. Under the slogan “Mango: 100% Spain inspired”, the promotion aims to highlight the Spanish flavor of the brand and to promote Spain as a tourism destination, associating it to the fashion world. This is the first time Mango and the Spain Tourism Board are working together.

Enrique Ruiz de Lera, Tourspain’s head of marketing believes that this partnership perfectly ties in with the global brand positioning of Spain as a tourist destination. Ninona Vila, corporate PR manager of Mango comments, “Although Mango is a fashion brand with a large international presence, it has its roots in Spain, and this feature is visible in the brand values.”

The joint promotion between Mango and Tourspain will be running in Delhi for the entire month of November.
