Zara Phillips designs apparel line

Must Read

Britain`s equestrian princess, Zara Phillips has teamed up with outdoor clothing specialists Musto to launch her own line of sportswear. The 29-year-old has launched her collection in London, which is meant to `exude style and elegance`.

The Queen`s eldest granddaughter is a brand ambassador for the company which was founded in 1965 by British Olympic sailor and engineer Keith Musto. The British Eventing champion designed, developed and tested her collection, which includes jackets, fleece and gilets.

Each piece carries the ZP 176 logo, a combination of her initials and her British Eventing number.
“I wear Musto all the time while training and competing. It`s brilliant for keeping me warm and dry. I`m really excited about the ZP 176 collection; it combines technical fabrics with equestrian sport styling for jackets that really perform,” says Phillips.

She is not the first royal connection for the company, which already has royal warrants from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The clothing brand is understandably delighted at another royal relationship. Company CEO Nigel Musto described Phillips as a `dedicated and extremely successful horsewoman` who is a `natural fit with the brand`.
The range will debut at a fashion show in London at the end of the month. Phillips is expected to model pieces from the collection on the catwalk. She has been involved in designing the range from the beginning stages, and has also tested the products on the field.

She is the current eventing world champion. She is the daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips.
